Scarlet robins are one of several species of small insectivorous birds colored in various combinations of black, white, and red.   They are widely distributed and can be found in many forest and woodland habitats in Australia.   These were photographed in Porongorup National Park and in Nornalup, both in southwestern Western Australia.
Related species include the eastern yellow robin, western yellow robin, white-breasted robin, pale yellow robin, and grey-headed robin.
