Head broad, with face strongly narrowed in ventral half. Mandibles
reduced, not capable of meeting medially, without
denticles. Occipital carina absent, but carina along vertex may be present. 4 funicular segments; male flagellomeres
not branched, not pedunculate, without whorls of setae. Notauli complete. Forewing without tuft dark setae near parastigma. Petiole distinct, about as long to longer than broad. Color yellow to brown or amber. Sulci, carinae, and sutures usually with conspicuously sharp edges.
