This delicately-marked dragonfly was photographed on a small pond near Pantiacolla Lodge in the Peruvian Amazon. This little pond (maybe 100 m long by 5 m wide) also yielded photos of several other dragonflies (an amberwing species, Orthemis schmidti, and Erythrodiplax unimaculata ) and quite a few birds (including the American pigmy kingfisher, black hawk-eagle, blue-crowned motmot, and white-browed antbird. |
