White-browed antbird        Images © Mark A. Chappell

This is one of the many and varied antbirds (and antwrens, antshrikes, antthrushes, antpittas….) found in Central and South America.   Unlike most members of the family, it is willing to come out into the open, and I was able to get reasonable shots of both the gray-toned male and the brownish female.   They were photographed at Pantiacolla Lodge in the Peruvian Amazon.
