Weed's mariposa lily (Calochortus weedii) are found in southern California, mainly along the coast and in the coastal mountains. This species is highly variable, with flower colors ranging from pure yellow to reddish brown; blossoms of an 'intermediate' form are on this page. These were photographed at two locations in San Diego County. |
