The following papers date from an earlier pilot project where we used an R-[3.6] filter combination to detect clusters. They describe our work with the 4 square degree Spitzer First Look Survey, detecting clusters at z < 1.2. The SpARCS clusters are detected using 120s IRAC observations (versus 60s for FLS), and employ a "redder" z'-[3.6] filter combination, both of which result in being able to find clusters to much higher redshift.
