Fijiordland National Park, on the southern tip of the South Island of New Zealand, has some magnificent cool temperate rain forest. The primary trees are the Southern Beech (Nothofagus), a Gondwanaland relic that also occurs in Australia and southern South America. This picture was taken near Doubtful Sound. |
