Prehensile-tailed tree-mouse are charming little arboreal mammals from Australian rainforests; unlike many Australian mammals, these are placentals, not marsupials (such as feathertailed gliders, sugar gliders, or striped possums. I photographed this one during a night drive on Mt. Lewis in far-north Queensland. |
