A summer dawn from near Mono Lake can yield lovely views of the sun illuminating the crest of the Sierra Nevada above the dry scrublands of the Mono Basin. In these views, taken from near the South Tufa reserve, the foreground is filled with rabbitbrush. I used a graduated neutral-density filter to even out the illumination on foreground and background. |
