Curve-billed thrasher        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Curve-billed thrashers are common in the American Southwest in dry, brushy country or desert scrub.   They have a very cheerful song and seem to be quite social.   Some of these were coming to a feeder and water drip on a ranch in the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas; the others were in Tucson, Green Vally, or Portal, Arizona.
