Bohemian waxwing        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Bohemian waxwings are a northerly version of the more familiar cedar waxwing.   Bohemians are larger and grayer, and have colorful yellow wing spots (unfortunately, this bird did not cooperate to show them).   It was photographed at Wonder Lake in Denali Park, Alaska.   The same species also occurs in Europe and Asia, where it is simply called the waxwing.
