These gnatcatchers (spring males have dark blue-gray caps) were photographed near the South Padre Island Convention Center in Texas, at Big Morongo Reserve in the California desert, and near Moreno Valley, California. Gnatcatchers are extremely active and it was difficult to aim and focus for these shots. |
