Clamorous reed-warblers are well-named: noisy little birds that live in swampy reedbeds. They are very similar to (but considerably smaller than) the great reed-warbler of Eurasia -- also a loud and vigorous singer. This one was defending a territory on a small reedbed in a drainage canal in Wollongong, on the coast of New South Wales. |
