White-naped honeyeaters are one of a group of 4 or 5 species that closely resemble each other, with olive-brown backs, white undersides, and dark heads with white marks around the nape and small 'wattles' around the eyes. White-naped honeyeaters are widely distributed across the Australian continent in forests or woodlands. These were photographed as they fed in a bottlebrush in Porongorup, in the southwestern corner of Western Australia. |
