White-winged triller        Images © Mark A. Chappell

The two species of trillers found in Australia are small black-and-white (males) or brownish (females) birds with soft plumage.   The white-winged triller shown here is the most widely distributed.   I took the photos at the Fowlers Gap arid zone resarch station in the northwest corner of New South Wales.
