Yellow tyrannulet        Images © Mark A. Chappell

The tyrannulets are a group of tiny, active flycatchers in Central and South America; one species (northern beardless tyrannulet) makes it into the southwestern USA.   Yellow tyrannulets are found in open scrub, usually near grassy areas.   I took these pictures near Gamboa, Panama.
