Rose-throated becard        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Becards are a tropical group, and this species, the rose-throated becard, is the most northerly, barely making it over the US-Mexico border into southeastern Arizona and south Texas.   Only adult males have the rose throat; females are fairly plain.   They usually breed in loose colonies and build huge, hanging bag nestsg.   I took the photos near Tubac and Pagagonia, Arizona.
