Boat-billed flycatcher        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Boat-billed flycatchers are one of the largest of several 'kiskadee-like' species that share yellow bellies and black-and-white facial masks (others include the great and lesser kiskadees, social flycatcher, and rusty-margined flycatcher). Boatbills closely resemble the more widely distributed great kiskadee, but have much bigger bills, brown instead of rusty wings, and much different calls.   These were photographed in Gamboa, Panama.
