Scarlet-fronted parakeets are very common in and around the city of Cali in southwestern Colombia, where I took these photos. Like most parrots they are very social (and loud), so the flocks are very noticeable. I saw lots of them but these were the only ones that landed close enough for photos, and then very briefly; they were at about 2000 meters in the Western Andes above Cali. |
