Gray-breasted mountain-toucan        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Gray-breasted mountain-toucans are cloud-forest birds, as their name implies, and I was happy to get an almost-clear view of this one through the thick tree canopy.   It allowed several photos against a cloudy sky, but never turned sideways for a more traditional portrait.   I took the pictures near the Wayqecha Field Station, on the Manu Road in southeastern Peru.
