White-breasted sea-eagles are moderately large eagles (smaller than the North American bald eagle) that feed primarily on fish and consequently are usually found near large bodies of water. This one was photographed near Mossman, in far north Queensland. I had no time to fiddle with equipment so I had to use my 500 mm with a 2x extender, hand-held -- not the most optimal combination for fligh shots, but it worked. |
