Three species of occur regularly in central Europe: the marsh harrier, the hen harrier, and this species, Montagu's harrier. Montagu's harrier (this is a female) is the slimmest and most graceful of the three. I got just a single decent photograph of this bird as she flew over Biebrza National Park, Poland. |
