The oscellated turkey of Mexico and Central America is a close relative of the familiar wild turkey of North America.   Its feathers are even more brilliantly marked than those of its northern relative.  These pictures are of a bird in the San Antonio zoo, shot through the wire of its cage in dim afternoon light.
