Yellow-billed pintail        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Yellow-billed pintails don't look much like the northern pintail familiar to birders in the US but are widely distributed in South America.   This bird was photographed on a small pond in Cusco, Peru; the photos were taken at midday, so light was not ideal and I used fill-in flash.
