Green-winged teal are beautiful little ducks, especially the males, but they tend to be shy and difficult to photograph. Many green-wings spend the winter in California; most migrate elsewhere to breed. These were all photographed in Palo Alto, Mountain View, or Bolsa Chica wetlands in Orange County.
