On cold November mornings, great herds of wildlife photographers (a fairly sparce gathering is shown below) converge on the Bosque del Apache refuge in central New Mexico. If they're lucky, they'll be greeted by lovely sunrise scenes like the ones above, photographed from the 'Flight Deck' observation area. In the distance are roosting snow geese (nearer) and sandhill cranes. |
