On cold November mornings, great herds of wildlife photographers converge on the Bosque del Apache refuge in central New Mexico. They park in a long line, set up their big lenses, and wait for the snow geese to 'blast off' in the dawn light. These scenes were shot before the sun rose, and the long exposures (roughly 1/10 sec) gave a swirling blur effect that conveys the rush of wings. |
