Tasmanian native-hens are large terrestrial rails found in Tasmania. Among behavioral biologists they are famous for their mating habits, which feature multiple matings with multiple partners by both sexes. This one was wandering through a paddock on Bruny Island, off of Tasmania's southeast coast. |
