I don't associate flamingos with high mountains, but three species of flamingo occur in the Andes: the Chilean, Andean, and James flamingos. These Chilean flamingos were in Parque Nacional Torres del Paine in south Chile. Sadly for photographic purposes, they were quite shy and did not permit frame-filling shots, even with a big telephoto. |
