This view of Nevada Falls, the back of Half Dome, Mount Broderick, and Liberty Cap was taken from the trail leading up from the Valley floor. I took the photo on a late autumn day; we were blocked from further progress by an extensive mass of slick ice covering the trail ahead. I used a graded neutral density filter on my wideangle lens to help to get proper exposure on the shaded falls and the brightly-lit peaks. |
