Cedar Breaks is a small and relatively unknown national monument to the north of Zion and west of Bryce Canyon. It has a spectacular eroded face on the western slope, dropping hundreds of meters from the alpine forests on the rim. (Caveat: I took this picture a long time ago and there's a chance it's actually a photo of Bryce Canyon. Detail views of both places have a similar feel to them.) |
