The aspen trees in the photo above were part of a large, peaceful grove along the Kebler Pass road from Crested Butte to Paonia, in the Elk Mountains of Colorado. The lower image shows an aspen grove in the eastern Sierra Nevada (Mono County, California) in early spring before the trees have leafed out. |
