I took this photograph driving from Mesa Verde into the small town of Cortez, in southwestern Colorado. The sun was setting behind a huge, dark thundercloud and I was a little worried about lightning. The Ute Mountains can be seen in the background.
Note: I used Photoshop to remove some telephone poles from the lower left of the photograph; it was impossible to find a viewpoint that kept them out of the frame. |
