Red-faced warbler        Images © Mark A. Chappell

Red-faced warblers are native to highland forests in the American southwest (mainly Arizona) and Mexico.   This one was photographed in pine forest high in the Santa Rita Mountains of southeastern Arizona.   Three other 'southwestern specialty' warblers occur in the same region and habitat:   painted redstarts, Grace's warblers, and olive warblers.
