Many species of tits occur in Europe and Asia; most are very closely related to the chickadees of North America.   The marsh tit, shown here, is one of the smallest and least colorfully marked (compare it to the larger great tit and the similar-sized but more colorful blue tit.   They are hard to photograph because they seldom stop moving for more than a couple of seconds; this picture was taken near Bialowieza, Poland.
