Globalities and Marginalities: Perspectives on Boundaries and Identities in the Early Modern and Modern World

UC RIVERSIDE
APRIL 5-6, 1997

As part of an intercampus graduate program funded by the UC President's office, a workshop-conference broadly focusing on the themes above will take place at UC-Riverside early in April. You are invited to propose papers or roundtable presentations for this conference. UC Graduate students in the humanities and social sciences are especially encouraged to discuss their current work and its wider implications.

Along with presentations based on original research, new reflections on existing work in light of global and comparative issues are particularly welcome. In addition to sessions consisting of papers, two roundtable workshops for works in progress are planned, which will address both interpretive models and empirical findings in an interdisciplinary and informal context.
