LEPIDOPTERA, Oinophilidae -- <Images> & <Juveniles>

Clausen (1940) remarked that an occasional species of Oinophilidae is found to develop the predatory habit, although this seems only incidental to the normal phytophagous feeding. Ereunetis minuscula Wesm. was reported as predaceous on the cottony-cushion scale and other coccids in Puerto Rico, even though the species was primarily a plant scavenger.
