are four common cockroach species, which have been considered more or less
domesticated. These are Blatella germanica (German cockroach), Blatta orientalis L.
(oriental cockroach), Periplaneta americana L. (American cockroach), Periplaneta australasiae Fab.
(Australian cockroach) and Supella subpellectilium Serv. (brown-banded cockroach).
