| Ruddy Copper (LEP62) Lycaena rubidus        The
  most brilliant of our coppers is wholly copper except for tiny black dots and
  narrow black and white margins.  The
  female is duller and spottier.  As it
  flies, the male Ruddy flashes copper and silver because the underside is
  silky white.  It predominates in the
  western half of North America.   |
