| Becker’s White,  Pieris chloridice beckerii  <LEP27>       
  This attractive butterfly inhabits the hot, dry dusty sagebrush desert
  of North America.  It is clear white
  above with a crisp pattern of black marks. 
  The forewing cell spot stands out as a thick black square.  These spots are repeated below, along with
  a pronounced network of yellow-green scales around the veins.   |
