| Dakota Skipper,  Hesperia dacotae
  <LEP186>
  This uncommon skipper is closely linked to native prairie
  grasslands.  It has become rare by the
  plowing and grazing of the prairies.
  It survives in a number of nature reserves, where it visits purple
  coneflower.  Caterpillars feed on
  native grasses.   |
