Whirlabout, Polites vibex (LEP181)

Another golden tawny skipper, brown about the edges, but orange fringed. The black dash on the forewing is called a Askipper=s stigma.@ The name refers to its speedy, orbiting flight. It is common in Southeastern woodlands.
