Eighty-eight Butterfly, Diaethria clymena <LEP155>

Another tropical species that turns up in Florida on rare occasions. Its name derives from the black “88" pattern on the white underside. The base of the underside forewing is pinkish red, the tip black-banded white. The black upper side has light green bands on each wing.
