| Hackberry Butterfly (LEP137) Asterocampa
  celtis        The
caterpillars are jade green and confined to leaves of hackberry trees for
  food.  Both caterpillar and chrysalis
  blend beautifully with the foliage.
When the adult closes its wings you may see a complicated pattern of
brown lines on a purplish white background and rows of black, white-centered,
  yellow-rimmed eyespots.   |
