| Meadow Fritillary (LEP110) Boloria bellona        The
  tip of the forewings have a snipped-off appearance .  Another lesser fritillary, it is light
  orange with black markings.  A denizen
  of wet meadows, in the East and the West. 
  The one in the drawing is shown visiting a violet, on which the
  caterpillars feed and the adults may gather nectar.   |
