The narrative portion of king Woden-lithi's inscription concludes in
this section, which lies above the preceding part and, like it, reads in ascending
sequence.  All the letters here are Tifnag.  The text reads:
  R-N-R (Old Norse runar,
Runes) W (Old Norse va in [this] secluded nook) H-GH (Old
Norse hokk, he hacked) U-TH (Old Norse
uti, out) N-R (Old Norse nara, while he lingered) N-N (Old
Norse nain, near) R-M (Old Norse, rum, this
place).             In this secluded nook he hacked
out while lingering here   The remainder of the king’s inscriptions deals primarily with calendar regulation and astronomy, religious festivals, Nordic mythology, and standards of measures.   |
