Frequency Difference Limen (or JND)

• You will hear 10 groups of four tone pairs. In each group there is a small frequency difference between tones of the pair, which decreases in each sucessive group.

• At what point does the difference between notes disappear (JND)?

• Tones start off at 10Hz difference and decrease by 1 Hz every 4 tone pairs.

• .005 fraction. Note this is smaller than fraction given by Weber. Because of high pitch?
