Welcome to my website. I am a professor of philosophy at the University of California, Riverside and am currently the graduate adviser.
I did my undergraduate studies in philosophy and mathematics at Rutgers University, and received my Ph.D from the Department of Philosophy at the University of Chicago. I began teaching at the University of Southern California, first as an assistant professor and then associate professor, after which I joined the Department of Philosophy at Yale University as professor. I spent a year as a fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences in Stanford before joining the Department of Philosophy at UCR.
My research interests reside primarily in philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, epistemology, and cognitive science (especially at their intersections). I also think and write about the history of analytic philosophy and the epistemology of mathematics.
