Work in the lab focuses on applied ecology as it relates to insect pest and disease management. Right now that mostly entails studying the transmission ecology and epidemiology of Pierce's disease in California vineyards, and providing outreach to growers and the general public about the impacts and control of non-native insects in both natural and managed ecosystems.
