Amana Glüh Wein

Rum Cocktail

 

 

Amana Glüh Wein 1

 

2 cups red wine, unsweetened

1 & 1/8 cups sugar

6 cloves

1/2 stick cinnamon

 

In a pot add all ingredients.  Heat to boiling point, strain and serve immediately.

 

 

Rum Cocktail

 

1 Tahitian lime or 2 Cocktail limes

1/2 lemon

4 tbsp. water

1 or 2 tbsp. sugar

2 tbsp. light or dark rum

Crushed ice

 

Squeeze lime or lemon juice into serving glass.  Add water and rum.  Dissolve sugar in liquid.  Fill glass with crushed ice and stir.

 

Proportions may be varied to suit.

 

 

Gin & Tonic

 

1 Tahitian lime or 2 Cocktail limes

2 tbsp. water

4-6 tbsp. Tonic Water

1 or 2 tbsp. sugar

2 tbsp. gin

Crushed ice

 

Squeeze lime juice into serving glass.  Add gin.  Dissolve sugar in liquid.  Fill glass 1/2 full with crushed ice and stir.  Add tonic water and stir slightly

 

Proportions may be varied to suit.

 

 

Irish Whiskey Sour

 

2-4 tbsp. Irish Whiskey

1 1/2 tbsp. sugar

1 Tahitian lime or 2 Cocktail limes

  or 1/2 lemon

1/4 cup water

Crushed ice

 

Squeeze fruit juice into serving glass.  Add Irish Whiskey and water.  Dissolve sugar in liquid.  Fill glass 1/2 full with crushed ice and stir.

 

 

Puerto Rican Guava Cocktail

 

1 can guava juice

2-4 tbsp. Puerto Rican rum

1 tbsp. sugar

1 Tahitian lime or 2 Cocktail limes

Crushed ice

 

Place guava juice into a blender and add sugar, squeezed lime juice and Puerto Rican rum.  Blend the mixture.  Add to serving glass 1/2 full with crushed ice.

 

 

 

 

California Margarita

 

1 Tahitian lime or 2 Cocktail limes

2 tbsp. water

1 or 2 tbsp. sugar

2 or 3 tbsp. tequila

1 tsp. apricot-flavored brandy

Crushed ice

 

Dip top of serving glass into water and form a light ring of table salt around lip with hands or by inverting glass onto a salt-covered plate.

 

Squeeze lime juice into serving glass.  Add tequila, water and apricot-flavored brandy.  Dissolve sugar in liquid.  Fill glass with crushed ice and stir mixture for 10 seconds.

 

Serve with lime slice.
